Good care of brake fluid is probably one of the primary maintenance and safety aspects in the upkeep of every automobile. Many of us don’t know much about brake fluid, and it will be a little difficult. Yet, it simply needs a bit of fundamental understanding to know the process your brake fluid actually does, what specific safety measures you need to take with it and the way to pick the correct fluid for your vehicle.

What’s a brake fluid flush?

Brake flushing will remove all the brake fluid from your system and putting all-new, fully clean fluid on the inside and it’s required for the entire process of a car’s brakes.

The reason why you should get your brake fluid flushed?

Most of the nasty little bits that flake off land in your brake fluid. Moreover, the fluid itself can get old and worn out. Moisture can also get in the system. That leads to corrosion, which results in far more nasty bits in your brake fluid. Everything adds up to a brake system with damaged performance and minimized stopping power.

How frequent should brake fluid be flushed?

I would personally recommend as soon as it’s no longer a light golden color or after two years.

You can perform brake fluid flush yourself on the other hand, service centers now do this with brake flushing machines. They are much better and a lot more expert in working with BMW maintenance like this.
